Voltage Boost Adapter | Precision Series Wiring | 100 Prime & 500X Compatible

he Jackery Anderson Y Series Connector is an essential tool for high-efficiency solar arrays. By linking two solar panels in Series, this adapter doubles the voltage sent to your power station. This is the preferred setup for long cable runs or professional off-grid installations where maximizing energy pressure (voltage) is key to overcoming resistance.

The keyed Anderson design ensures a no-mistake connection. Because the plugs are gender-specific, you cannot accidentally plug them in backward, protecting your equipment and your safety.

Why Use the Series Connector?

  • Increased Efficiency: Higher voltage allows the power station’s MPPT controller to engage faster, especially in low-light conditions.
  • Secure Anderson "Click": Engineered with industrial-grade Anderson heads that provide an audible click to confirm a rock-solid, weather-resistant connection.
  • Streamlined DIY Setup: No wire stripping or electrical tape required. Simply plug your panels into the Y-adapter for an instant series string.
  • Rugged Build: Specifically designed to withstand extreme outdoor temperatures and high-current loads.

⚠️ Critical Note: Linking panels in series increases the total system voltage. Always ensure your total voltage does not exceed 120V to remain compatible with your Jackery Power Station.

FAQs

  • What is the difference between this and the Parallel (Y) Connector? The Series Connector increases Voltage (Volts) while keeping the Current (Amps) the same. The Parallel Connector increases Current (Amps) while keeping the Voltage the same.
  • When should I choose Series over Parallel? Series is often used when panels are located far away from the power station (to reduce voltage drop) or when using specific high-voltage input controllers. Most standard Jackery users prefer Parallel, but Series is the choice for pro-tier DIY setups.
  • How many panels can I connect in series? You can connect two panels using one Y-adapter. If connecting more, you must calculate the total "Open Circuit Voltage" (Voc) of the panels to ensure it is below the 120V system limit.
  • Is this compatible with the SolarSaga 100W (Foldable)? No. This connector is designed exclusively for the Anderson ports found on the 100 Prime and 500X flagship panels.

Visual Setup

Enhance your energy setup with ease and precision using these essential connectors

When you need to boost your system's voltage or current, the Jackery Anderson Y Parallel Connector and Jackery Anderson Y Series Connector are your go-to solutions. Designed exclusively for the Jackery 100 Prime, these connectors offer seamless and reliable connectivity. Simply attach the male head of the solar panel to the corresponding female head of the connector. Once you hear the satisfying "click" of the Anderson Connector, you can be confident that your connection is secure.

Setup Instructions:

  1. Connect the Positive lead of Panel A to the first input of the Y-Series Connector.
  2. Connect the Negative lead of Panel B to the second input of the Y-Series Connector.
  3. The remaining leads complete the circuit back to the power station, creating a single high-voltage loop.
  4. Listen for the "Click" on all three connection points to ensure the system is weather-sealed and secure.
